Whether you need a seasonal wheel change, new tyres or storage for your second wheel set, we take care of the tyres and wheels on your MINI. We clearly distinguish between changing complete wheels and fitting a tyre to a rim, because the work involved and the prices are not the same.
Our tyre service for your MINI
Tyres transfer every force between your MINI and the road when accelerating, braking and steering. Damage, incorrect tyre pressure, insufficient tread or an imbalance can therefore noticeably affect how the vehicle drives.
- Complete wheel change: The fitted summer or winter wheel set is removed and replaced with the other complete wheel set.
- Tyre fitting: The old tyre is removed from the rim and the new tyre is fitted to the existing rim.
- Wheel balancing: After fitting the tyre, we balance the wheel so that it runs as smoothly and evenly as possible.
- Old tyre disposal: We arrange the proper disposal of the removed old tyre.
- Wheel storage: If required, we store the complete wheel set you are not currently using until the next seasonal change.
Complete wheel change or tyre fitting?
Complete wheel change
During a complete wheel change, the tyre remains fitted to the rim. The wheel set currently on the vehicle is removed and replaced with the already assembled summer or winter wheel set.
Our seasonal package includes one complete wheel change followed by storage of the wheel set you are not using. Storage is provided for one season of approximately six months.
Tyre fitting
During tyre fitting, the old tyre is removed from the rim. The new tyre is then fitted and the wheel is balanced. Disposal of the old tyre is included in the stated price.
Important: Tyre fitting is not included in the complete wheel change and storage package. If new tyres are required, tyre fitting, balancing and disposal of the old tyre are charged separately for each wheel.

For a complete set of four tyres, fitting, balancing and disposal of the old tyres therefore costs a total of 110 €. The price of the new tyres is added where required.
When is a tyre service advisable?
- For a seasonal change: When summer and winter wheels need to be changed to suit the weather conditions.
- When the tread is worn: The legal minimum tread depth in Germany is 1.6 millimetres. Depending on the type of tyre and how it is used, earlier replacement may be advisable.
- When there are cracks, bulges or other damage: Unusual or damaged tyres should be professionally assessed before further use.
- When the vehicle vibrates: Movement through the steering wheel or noticeable vibrations while driving can be caused by a wheel imbalance, among other things.
- When the tyres wear unevenly: One-sided or unusual tyre wear can indicate incorrect tyre pressure, misaligned wheel geometry or worn suspension components.
- After work on the suspension or steering: If unusual tyre wear or altered driving behaviour develops afterwards, a wheel alignment may be required.
Winter tyres: the weather is what matters
The familiar German rule of thumb “from October to Easter” can help with planning, but it is not a legally defined period. Germany has a situational winter tyre requirement. In winter road conditions such as black ice, snow, slush, ice or frost, a passenger car may only be driven with tyres approved for those conditions.
Plan your seasonal wheel change in good time, but do not rely on the calendar alone. The weather, how you use the vehicle, the condition of the tyres and any planned journeys also matter.
What is not automatically included in the price?
- New summer, winter or all-season tyres
- Repair or replacement of damaged rims
- Replacement of defective tyre-pressure sensors or other components
- Additional work involving damaged or seized wheel bolts and locking wheel bolts
- Suspension repairs or a required wheel alignment
If we find that additional repairs are required during the work, we discuss the next steps with you before incurring additional costs.

- Send an appointment request: Provide the complete VIN, tyre size and the service you require.
- Confirm the scope of work: We determine whether you need a complete wheel change, tyre fitting or wheel storage.
- Confirm the appointment: We send you a written reply with an available appointment and the planned scope of work.
- Carry out the tyre service: We change or fit the wheels and tyres as agreed.
- Store the wheel set: With the seasonal package, the complete wheel set you are not using remains with us until the next change.
Frequently asked questions about our tyre service
During a complete wheel change, complete wheels consisting of tyres and rims are changed on the vehicle. During tyre fitting, the tyre is removed from the rim, another tyre is fitted to the rim and the wheel is then balanced.
A complete wheel change including storage of one wheel set costs 79 € per season. Removing and fitting a tyre, balancing the wheel and disposing of the old tyre costs 27,50 € per wheel. New tyres and additional repairs are not included.
